AN EVALUATION ON ORAL VESTIBULAR SCHWANNOMA GROWTH FROM THE VIEWPOINT OF MOLECULAR BIOLOGY_ CRIMSON PUBLISHERS

An Evaluation on Oral Vestibular Schwannoma Growth from the Viewpoint of Molecular Biology by Bing H Tang* in Cohesive Journal of Microbiology & Infectious Disease: Crimson Publishers_ Infectious disease Journals

This author has known Medical Hypotheses several years ago, unfortunately did not know that it is available online lately, until recently when he read Prof. Gong Peng’s important hypotheses. Has been honored to receive the invitation from Prof. Ping Gong [an oral surgeon] for our potential collaboration. In the meantime, please correct some possible errors in this author’ writing as presented below, and the possibility of applying his own concepts into the important future research.

This author read with great interest the article written by Baser. Predictors of vestibular schwannoma growth in patients with neurofibromatosis. Their research expresses result of two longitudinal studies of growth rates of vestibular schwannomas (VSs) in patients with neurofibromatosis Type 2 (NF2) differs from each other as to whether VS growth rates decrease or increase when ever patients getting older. The authors undertook their study to assess the relationship between VS growth rates and patient age and type of constitutional NF2mutation; they also examined the in VS growth rates among multiple patients in families with NF2. Methods by using Gadolinium-enhanced magnetic resonance images obtained in 18 patients with inherited NF2 from 11 unrelated families whom were retrospectively analyzed. The patients had been observed for a period with a median of 4 years. Volumes of the VSs were checked using a two component box model (intrameatal and extrameatal parts checked respectively)

Are There Vaccines Against Violence?-Crimson Publishers

Are There Vaccines Against Violence? by Joao Paulo Martins do Carmo in Cohesive Journal of Microbiology& Infectious Disease: Crimson Publishers_ Infectious disease Journals

Considering the transdisciplinar character of this Cohesive Journal of Microbiology and Infectious Disease, I would like to approach the violence and security question from the point of view of the Public Health, comparing them, shortly, to the cancer development (carcinogenesis), once cancer and violence are both Public Health problems. I also would like to approach it according to the holistic and ecologic theory of Fritj of Capra from his seminal masterpieces “The Web of Life” and “Turning Point”.

Introduction
The genus Penicillium contains approximately 100 toxigenic species, and the range of mycotoxin classes produced is much broader than that of any other genus [1]. listed 27 mycotoxins produced by 32 species which possessed varying range of toxicity. Penicillium toxins can be placed in two broad groups based on effect as renal and neurotoxins [2]. Mycotoxins are secondary metabolites produced by certain filamentous fungi. The toxic response due to fungal growth in food is called as mycotoxicosis. Aflatoxins are produced mainly by A. flavus, A. parasiticus and A. nominus. Aspergillus, Fusarium and Penicillium [3] and when ingested through food they intoxicate higher vertebrates including human. Monascus pigments, which are produced by various species of Monascus, often have been used as a natural colourant and as traditional natural food additives, especially in Southern China, Japan and Southeastern Asia. The limitation of wide using Monascus pigment is attributed to one of its secondary metabolites named citrinin.s

Many severely malnourished (grade IV) children continue todie every year in Melghat because their parents are unwilling tohospitalize them. Myths and mis-beliefs too hold them back fromapproaching the hospital. However, doctors from MAHAN Trustworking in the tribal belt have proved that these children can bealso saved through home or community based treatment, bothmedical and dietary. Successful treatment of Lakshmi SukhramJamunkar, a 23-month-old girl whose condition was worse than agrade IV child, is a shining example. She was treated at her homeunder the supervision of an illiterate but well-trained village healthworker, Meerabai. Lakshmi‘s case shows that community level
treatment can work wonders provided it is taken up scientiically
by trained personnel.
